| Abstract of Project : | |
| Catalytic conversion of renewable raw materials to produce value-added chemicals gains importance considering that fossil resources are destined to be depleted in the foreseeable future. My Fulbright project will attempt to use various homogeneous and heterogeneous transition metal based catalysts for converting renewables as well as platform molecules derived from renewable raw materials. Efforts will be made to develop environmentally acceptable methods for the purpose in hand. Such an approach is likely to lessen our dependence on fossil resources and ensure sustainable development. | |
